National Cricket Academy (NCA) chairman Kapil Dev today said he had joined the newly formed Indian Cricket League (ICL) to serve the game better.
"I haven't done anything wrong. Whatever decision I have taken is for the betterment of the game," the former India skipper told newspersons at the NCA East Zone centre here. Kapil, whose position in NCA is an honorary one, said he did not think it was necessary to take BCCI's permission before joining ICL as the head of its executive board. "I will give my answer about joining ICL when BCCI's asks for it," the former India speedstar said. Kapil opined that more top class cricket tournaments were needed to groom talented players in the country. Source: The Hindu print edition
