Sachin Tendulkar will not play the second test match against South Africa on April 3, 2008 at Ahmedabad. He has re-aggravated his right groin injury while he was fielding on the fourth day of the first Test match.
After one year and nine months Kaif had been picked for the Indian Test team for the second Test at Ahmedabad. Kaif, the 27-year-old hopes that the bad phase of his carrier has ended and this selection will bring more good news for him.
Kaif made his debut against the same opponents eight years ago in Bangalore, since then he has played 13 Test matches. He deserves this chance as he had a good domestic and India A season. He had scored some 1100 runs and most of them were scored on tough wickets.
