Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan decides to ask the Indian Cricket Board to review the decision of barring pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar from taking part in Indian Premier League.
Lalit Modi, The Chairman of Indian Premier League or IPL has said that Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar cannot participate in their upcoming championship beginning from April 18. His harsh decision is the result of the ban imposed on Akhtar by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Besides Saurav Ganguly the former Indian Captain, Shoaib is the main bowler of the Kolkata Knight Riders team, owned by SRK.
Shahrukh feels that the charge of misconduct against the maverick fast bowler is not that serious that will put him away from the grounds.
"It is a ban related to his behaviour and I hope things get sorted out in our favour, Shoaib is a great player and I would like to have him back. I don't know why he cannot play. I want him in the team as he is very important for Kolkata Knight Riders, I know I am allowed to take another player but I want Shoaib back," said Shahrukh
King Khan feels that the upcoming high-profile Twenty20 competition of IPL will certainly gain by the presence of Shoaib.Defending his interests Shoaib Akhtar has filled an appeal against his 5 year’s ban.
